Turn the Key is designed to help eligible Philadelphia residents move toward homeownership. If the following applies to you, you may be a good fit for the program:
This includes buyers who have never owned a home, or who have not owned a home during the three years prior to applying for Turn the Key.
Buyers are required to participate in Turn the Key-approved counseling as part of the homebuying process.
Household income must be at or below 100% of the Area Median Income (AMI) based on the size of your household.
Preference is given first to income-qualified City of Philadelphia employees, followed by other income-eligible households.
You do not go from “interested in buying a home” directly to settlement.
Turn the Key follows a defined process designed to help buyers complete the education, documentation, counseling, income certification, and financing steps required before purchasing a home.
